This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First European Conference, Workshops on Model Driven Architecture - Foundations and Applications, ECMDA-FA 2005, held in Nuremberg, Germany in November 2005. The 24 revised full papers presented, 9 papers from the applications track and 15 from the foundations track, were carefully reviewed and selected from 82 submissions. The latest and most relevant information on model driven software engineering in the industrial and academic spheres is provided. The papers are organized in topical sections on MDA development processes, MDA for embedded and real-time systems, MDA and component-based software engineering, metamodelling, model transformation, and model synchronization and consistency.
This volume promotes engineering psychophysiology as a discipline and demonstrates its value to a new audience who we hope will consist of ergonomists, human factors psychologists, and engineers. The editors use a broad definition of what constitutes engineering, including all aspects of the fields known as human engineering, industrial engineering, and safety and systems engineering. The two goals for the volume are reflected in the subtitle. The Issues section introduces the components critical for the successful application of psychophysiological methods to problems in engineering. The chapters are intended to provide an introduction for the reader who is unfamiliar with psychophysiology ...
It is generally accepted that information and communication technology has the potential to support high quality, high-tech medicine, but up to now healthcare has lagged behind other sectors, such as service industries, in the implementation of such technology. Medicine is now beginning to catch up, however, and the Austrian government recently agreed on the nationwide implementation of an Electronic Health Record (Elektronische Gesundheitsakte (ELGA))._x000D_ This book presents the proceedings of the 8th scientific eHealth conference, which is being held in Vienna, Austria, in the context of the eHealth Summit Austria, in April 2014. The theme of the conference is "Outcomes Research: The Be...
