This book presents advances in state-of-the-art solution methods and their applications to real life practical problems in optimization, control and operations research. Contributions from world-class experts in the field are collated here in two parts, dealing first with optimization and control theory and then with techniques and applications. Topics covered in the first part include control theory on infinite dimensional Banach spaces, history-dependent inclusion and linear programming complexity theory. Chapters also explore the use of approximations of Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman inequality for solving periodic optimization problems and look at multi-objective semi-infinite optimization pro...
This book presents the latest research findings and state-of-the-art solutions on optimization techniques and provides new research direction and developments. Both the theoretical and practical aspects of the book will be much beneficial to experts and students in optimization and operation research community. It selects high quality papers from The International Conference on Optimization: Techniques and Applications (ICOTA2013). The conference is an official conference series of POP (The Pacific Optimization Research Activity Group; there are over 500 active members). These state-of-the-art works in this book authored by recognized experts will make contributions to the development of optimization with its applications.
This document describes the test method for the optical performance of quantum dot light conversion films, including method principles, instruments and equipment, test samples, test procedures, data processing and test report, etc. This document is applicable to the measurement of the optical performance of quantum dot light conversion films for liquid crystal display devices. The measurement of the optical performance of other types of light conversion films may take this as a reference.
Driven by sustaining demands from industrial automation, space applications and the lack of labor forces, robotics has received increasing attention from researchers in the field of automation and control. Optimizing control schemes is critical to fully exploit the potential of industrial and daily-use robots. Usually, accuracy and repeatability are measured to evaluate the performance of a robot, and deviation of the two parameters from normal status would inevitably leads to positional error and creates a problem for the process. Moreover, the repeatability of a robot is different in various parts of the working envelope, fluctuating with speed and payload. Due to the inherent complexity, an advanced learning methodology is crucial to the self-learning and fast adaptation to disturbances.
With the general acknowledgement that climate change constitutes an existential threat to both mankind and to the planet, the quest for more sustainable and environmentally-friendly ways of developing and maintaining human civilizations has become ever more important in recent years. This book presents the proceedings of GEESD2022, the 3rd International Conference on Green Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development. Due to continuing travel restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was held as a hybrid event, part face-to-face in Beijing, China, and partly online via Zoom, on 29 June 2022. The 141 papers included here were selected after a rigorous 6-month proces...
The nine-volume set constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 30th International Conference on Neural Information Processing, ICONIP 2023, held in Changsha, China, in November 2023. The 1274 papers presented in the proceedings set were carefully reviewed and selected from 652 submissions. The ICONIP conference aims to provide a leading international forum for researchers, scientists, and industry professionals who are working in neuroscience, neural networks, deep learning, and related fields to share their new ideas, progress, and achievements.
