Principalities and Powers is an ambitious analysis of John Howard Yoder's complex sociological theory. Jamie Pitts' work transcends ideological boundaries, which have perplexed the many writers who have approached the legacy of John Howard Yoder after his death in 1997. Although there is much disagreement, a broad consensus is forming that his theology was, on the one hand, focused on the social and political meaning of the New Testament accounts of Jesus Christ and, on the other hand, sociologically reductive, hermeneutically tendentious and ecclesiologically ambiguous. Principalities and Powers proposes a revision of Yoder's theology that maintains its broadly sociological emphasis but corrects for its apparent methodological, political and metaphysical problems. Specifically, adjustments are made to his social theory to open it to spiritual reality, to hone its analytical approach, and to clarify its political import. To do so his preferred framework for social criticism, the theology of the principalities and powers, is examined in the context of his wider work and its critics, and then synthesized with concepts from Pierre Bourdieu's influential reflexive sociology.

"Heiden Hexology, Essays and Interviews", is a collection of published work by Heiden Hexologist, Hunter Yoder. Heiden is the German version of the Anglo Saxon, Heathen. He views recent developments in prechristian Germanic tribalism from his Pennsylvania German perspective. Yoder grew up with the kultur, specifically the practice of painting Hex Signs. In the book, he explores the world of magically charged objects, the preChristian Germanic Gods and Goddesses, the Elder Futhark of Runes, Germanic Witchcraft known as Hexerei, Sex Magic and the use of magic plants. The book documents the proliferation of the practice of Hexerei by the emerging Germanic Heathen community internationally including his interviews of Rune magicians and Folk practitioners. This is Yoder's follow up to his book. "The Backdoor Hexologist," 2009.

The role of Evangelical Christianity in American public life is controversial. The mythology of America as a "Christian nation" and the promissory note of secularism have proved inadequate to cope with the increasing pluralism, the resilience of spirituality, and the wariness toward formal religion that mark our post-secular age. Christianity and democracy have a complex history together, but is there a future where these two great traditions draw the best out of one another? What does that future look like in a heterogeneous society? Sanders argues that democracy is stronger when it allows all of its religious citizens to participate fully in the public sphere, and Christianity is richer when it demonstrates the wisdom of God from the ground up, rather than legislating it from the top down. In this reality, the Evangelical church must return to Christianity's prophetic roots and see itself as a "community in exile," where participation in the political is important, but not ultimate--where the substantive work of the church happens "after the election."
