Univalent Functions

The study of univalent functions dates back to the early years of the 20th century, and is one of the most popular research areas in complex analysis. This book is directed at introducing and bringing up to date current research in the area of univalent functions, with an emphasis on the important subclasses, thus providing an accessible resource suitable for both beginning and experienced researchers. Contents Univalent Functions – the Elementary Theory Definitions of Major Subclasses Fundamental Lemmas Starlike and Convex Functions Starlike and Convex Functions of Order α Strongly Starlike and Convex Functions Alpha-Convex Functions Gamma-Starlike Functions Close-to-Convex Functions Bazilevič Functions B1(α) Bazilevič Functions The Class U(λ) Convolutions Meromorphic Univalent Functions Loewner Theory Other Topics Open Problems

Research Problems in Function Theory

Research Problems in Function Theory

In 1967 Walter K. Hayman published ‘Research Problems in Function Theory’, a list of 141 problems in seven areas of function theory. In the decades following, this list was extended to include two additional areas of complex analysis, updates on progress in solving existing problems, and over 520 research problems from mathematicians worldwide. It became known as ‘Hayman's List’. This Fiftieth Anniversary Edition contains the complete ‘Hayman's List’ for the first time in book form, along with 31 new problems by leading international mathematicians. This list has directed complex analysis research for the last half-century, and the new edition will help guide future research in the subject. The book contains up-to-date information on each problem, gathered from the international mathematics community, and where possible suggests directions for further investigation. Aimed at both early career and established researchers, this book provides the key problems and results needed to progress in the most important research questions in complex analysis, and documents the developments of the past 50 years.

Mathematical Analysis I: Approximation Theory

This book collects original research papers and survey articles presented at the International Conference on Recent Advances in Pure and Applied Mathematics (ICRAPAM), held at Delhi Technological University, India, on 23–25 October 2018. Divided into two volumes, it discusses major topics in mathematical analysis and its applications, and demonstrates the versatility and inherent beauty of analysis. It also shows the use of analytical techniques to solve problems and, wherever possible, derive their numerical solutions. This volume addresses major topics, such as operator theory, approximation theory, fixed-point theory, holomorphic functions, summability theory, and analytic functions. It is a valuable resource for students as well as researchers in mathematical sciences.

"Examining a topic that has been the subject of more than 300 articles since it was first conceived nearly 20 years ago, this monograph describes for the first time in one volume the basic theory and multitude of applications in the study of differential subordinations."
