Landfill Research Focus
A landfill is a site for the disposal of waste materials by burial. Historically, landfills have been the most common methods of organised waste disposal and remain so in many places around the world. Landfills may include internal waste disposal sites as well as sites used by many producers. Many landfills are also used for other waste management purposes, such as the temporary storage, consolidation and transfer, or processing of waste material (sorting, treatment, or recycling). A landfill also may refer to ground that has been filled in with soil and rocks instead of waste materials, so that it can be used for a specific purpose, such as for building houses. Unless they are stabilised, these areas may experience severe shaking or liquefaction of the ground in a large earthquake. This book presents new research in a field which is demanding and beginning to receive society's attention.

Performance Engineering and Stochastic Modeling
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 17th European Workshop on Computer Performance Engineering, EPEW 2021, and the 26th International Conference, on Analytical and Stochastic Modelling Techniques and Applications, ASMTA 2021, held in December 2021. The conference was held virtually due to COVID 19 pandemic. The 29 papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 39 submissions. Most Order of Battle books usually deal only with the division and corps level of a country's army. Most higher commands are not covered. This book deals with all the branches of a country's military, giving a breakdown of all the major echelons of command, from theater down to brigade, under each component (army group, armies, corps, division, and brigade), and the equivalent command structure for the other military branches are included. Second, it attempts to give an overall command structure of the country's military, showing the central headquarters command structure as well as the major components (army groups, armies, corps, etc.) Third, most Order of Battle books list the commanders and their dates of tenure.
