Henry Summerell (b.ca.1700), of Scottish lineage, married Sarah Barnes, daughter of John Barnes and Ann Jones of Isle of Wight County, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Texas and elsewhere.
