The ICORES 2020 and 2021 book contains extended and revised version of proceedings papers dealing with operations research and enterprise systems.
This book primarily addresses Intelligent Information Systems (IIS) and the integration of artificial intelligence, intelligent systems and technologies, database technologies and information systems methodologies to create the next generation of information systems. It includes original and state-of-the-art research on theoretical and practical advances in IIS, system architectures, tools and techniques, as well as “success stories” in intelligent information systems. Intended as an interdisciplinary forum in which scientists and professionals could share their research results and report on new developments and advances in intelligent information systems, technologies and related areas – as well as their applications – , it offers a valuable resource for researchers and practitioners alike.
British Plant Communities is the first systematic and comprehensive account of the vegetation types of this country. It covers all natural, semi-natural and major artificial habitats in Great Britain (but not Northern Ireland), representing the fruits of fifteen years of research by leading plant ecologists. The book breaks new ground in wedding the rigorous interest in the classification of plant communities that has characterized Continental phytosociology with the deep concern traditional in Great Britain to understand how vegetation works. The published volumes have been greeted with universal acclaim, and the series has become firmly established as a framework for a wide variety of teaching, research and management activities in ecology, conservation and land-use planning.
Micro(nano)plastics in the Aquatic Environment: Fate, Toxicology, and Management, Volume Eleven explores a wide breadth of chapters, reflecting the experiences of groups of researchers from different countries on essential aspects of the context of plastic pollution. The book provides insights in chapters Plastic pollution in the aquatic ecosystem: an emerging threat and its mechanisms, Behavior of micro(nano)plastics in the aquatic environment and influencing factors, Analysis and distribution characteristics of micro(nano)plastics in the water environment, Interactions between microplastics and primary producers in aquatic ecosystems, Release of micro(nano)plastics from face masks into the...
