My Own Edmonstons and a Few Others
Thomas Edmonston and his son, Archibald Edmonston (ca.1667-1734) emigrated from Scotland or Ireland, in about 1670, to land in Maryland which is now part of Washington, D.C., where Archibald married Jane Beall. He died in 1734. Descendants lived in Maryland, North Carolina, Washington, D.C., Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Montana, Washington, California and elsewhere.

In the 1600's-1800's, some immigrated to New Brunswick (Canada), and to Delaware, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Later descendants also lived in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Washington D.C., Wisconsin, and elsewhere. Some have African American bloodlines. Some have American Indian bloodlines.
