Thomas Edmonston and his son, Archibald Edmonston (ca.1667-1734) emigrated from Scotland or Ireland, in about 1670, to land in Maryland which is now part of Washington, D.C., where Archibald married Jane Beall. He died in 1734. Descendants lived in Maryland, North Carolina, Washington, D.C., Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Montana, Washington, California and elsewhere.
