'London Secrets' unlocks the city's most fascinating secrets. Janelle McCulloch strips away bricks, mortar and tarmac to uncover parts of the capital that even born and bred Londoners may never have seen. In the shadow of the Gherkin, Cheesegrater and Walkie-Talkie skyscrapers are medieval churches, crypts and the curios of Postman's Park - proof that altruism can exist in the Square Mile. In St James's, a stone's throw from the glitz and glamour of Soho are hidden squares and shops dating from a gentler age - purveyors of fine wine, gentleman's apparel and bowler hats. The cobbled mews of Marylebone and Hampstead Village reveal unexpected treasures, rarely seen interiors and a rural idyll a...

A very funny Christmas novel, from the bestselling author of No-One Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday and Single Woman Seeks Revenge. There comes a time in every woman’s life when the only answer is to marry George Clooney. For Michelle, that time is now. Slogging her guts out in a chicken factory, whilst single-handedly bringing up a teenager who hates her, is far from the life that 36-year-old Michelle had planned. But marrying the most amazing man on the planet by Christmas could change all that, couldn’t it? Sometimes your only option is to dream the impossible - because you never know where it might take you... This is a fun, completely fantastical novel featuring George Clooney, and has not been authorised or endorsed by the wondrous man himself.

4 Brothers (originally titled 1 Brother) is an excellent childhood memoir by Andrew Miller that has been cruelly sabotaged by his three brothers. It would have been a beautifully written, insightful and amusing account of growing up in Sydney through the 60's, 70's and 80's but instead has become a questionably written, argumentative, and occasionally vulgar piece which has somehow turned out to be wholly entertaining. Few memories are agreed upon, and many are strongly, if not hotly, debated. What is, superficially at least, a nostalgic and entertaining read, also turns out to be a valuable and penetrating look into character, birth order, parenting techniques, world views and obnoxious personalities - from four brothers who remember their childhood very differently, yet who at the same time remain the closest of friends and the loyalist of companions.

The sweetly scented gardens and gentle landscapes of this great country have long drawn horticulture fans and Anglophiles searching for its natural idylls, made so redolent in literature, film, photography, poetry and song. Every summer, people from all over the world travel to England to stay at charming guest houses with bucolic gardens, drink at country pubs with...
