Este livro é uma coletânea de textos, fruto das pesquisas dos professores e professoras do Curso de Direito da Universidade de Sorocaba, sendo que alguns capítulos foram redigidos em coautoria com estudantes do referido curso. A primeira parte do livro é dedicada a textos que versam sobre Educação, posto que tais autores e autoras estão, ou até pouco tempo ainda estavam, vinculados ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Stricto Sensu, Mestrado e Doutorado, em Educação da Universidade de Sorocaba, seja como docentes do Programa, doutorandos ou mestrandos. A segunda parte da obra versa sobre capítulos vinculados a temas atuais do Direito, redigidos por docentes e estudantes do Curso de Direito da Universidade de Sorocaba. De modo geral, os textos contemplam temas transversais e interdisciplinares dos mais atuais assuntos ligados à Educação brasileira e ao Direito.
