Identity and Translation Trouble
Besides providing a thorough overview of advances in the concept of identity in Translation Studies, the book brings together a variety of approaches to identity as seen through the prism of translation. Individual chapters are united by the topic and their predominantly cultural approach, but they also supply dynamic impulses for the reader, since their methodologies, level of abstraction, and subject matter differ. The theoretical impulses brought together here include a call for the ecology of translational attention, a proposal of transcultural and farcical translation and a rethinking of Bourdieu’s habitus in terms of František Miko’s experiential complex. The book also offers first-hand insights into such topics as post-communist translation practices, provides sociological insights into the role politics played during state socialism in the creation of fields of translated fiction and the way imported fiction was able to subvert the intentions of the state, gives evidence of the struggles of small locales trying to be recognised though their literature, and draws links between local theory and more widely-known concepts.

This book concentrates on how small European countries coped with economic integration and disintegration during the twentieth century. Essays in Ecumenical Theology I
In the first volume of Essays in Ecumenical Theology Ivana Noble depicts differences between what she calls a sectarian outlook and one which engages in the search for common roots, dialogical relationships and shared mission in a world that has largely become post-Christian, but often also post-secular. Drawing on both Western and Orthodox scholarship, and expressing her own positions, Noble sketches what ecumenical theology is, how it is linked to spirituality, the methods it uses, how it developed during the twentieth century, and the challenges it faces. Specific studies deal with controversial interpretations of Jan Hus, Catholic Modernism, the problematic heritage of the totalitarian regimes, and responses to the current humanitarian crisis.
Ecumenical and Confessional Writings
Although many writings of Edmund Schlink (1903–1984) have been available in English for several decades, the publication of the new German edition offered a significant impetus for providing a fresh and more accurate translation of them. Matthew L. Becker and his co-translators have consistently translated key terms that occur in all five volumes. Also, they corrected infelicitous and misleading renderings of Schlink's language into English, which more or less happened in all the earlier editions. In this second volume Becker provides the first-ever English translation of Schlink's dogmatics. Representing the culmination of five decades of scholarly work by one of the most important theologians and ecumenists of the twentieth century, Schlink's opus magnum sets forth the "basic features" of Christian doctrine that all Christian churches hold in common. Schlink's Ecumenical Dogmatics thus offers a consistent witness to the living, triune God, who calls sinners to repentance and faith, who acts mightily to save them, and who sends them back into the world to share God's gospel and love in word and deed.
Interdisziplinäre Traditionstheorie
In Traditionen leben oder verlorene Traditionen wiederzugewinnen setzt voraus, zu erfassen, wie Traditionsbildung geschieht und wie Traditionen zu bearbeiten sind. Dazu bedarf es entsprechender Theoriebildung und methodologischer Arbeit. Das Phänomen "Tradition" ist überdies so vielseitig und vielschichtig, das die Arbeit an Traditionstheorien nur interdisziplinär erfolgen kann. Der vorliegende Band bietet Zugänge aus Philosophie, Soziologie, Sprachtheorie, Philologie und Biogenetik. Die Studien zielen darauf, die verschiedenen Perspektiven in einer Traditionstheorie zusammenzuführen, die dann mit weiteren Perspektiven versehen werden kann. Das betrifft nicht zuletzt die Traditionsbildung im Christentum. Ein Teil der Autoren sind Theologen, die diese Thematik in dieser interdisziplinären Reichweite so auch für die Theologie erschließen.
Traditionstheorie im Gespräch der Wissenschaften
Das internationale Projekt der interdisziplinären Traditionstheorie, das von Prof. Wiedenhofer angeregt wurde und von der Universität in Böhmisch-Budweis weiterentwickelt wird, wird mit diesem Band fortgesetzt, wobei die Interdisziplinarität um Beiträge aus Soziologie, Kulturwissenschaft, Medienforschung, Folkloristik und Gedächtnistheorie erweitert wird. Darüberhinaus bringt das Buch auch Beiträge aus philosophischer, philologischer und theologischer Sicht.
Ut omnes unum
Im Oktober 1918 wurde in Berlin die Hochkirchliche Vereinigung Augsburgischen Bekenntnisses e.V. (HV) gegründet. Sie war damit die Vorreiterin der jüngeren liturgischen Bewegung in Deutschland. Seither versteht sich die HV als ein Labor der gemeinsamen liturgischen Forschung und des Austausches zu den Themen hochkirchlicher und ökumenischer Theologie. Das Jubiläum der ersten einhundert Jahre ihres Bestehens begeht die HV 2018 mit der Veröffentlichung der vorliegenden Festschrift. Die Beiträge in ihr bieten einen Überblick über ihr ökumenisches Anliegen und einen ersten Einstieg in die Gegenwart der hochkirchlichen Bewegung im 21. Jahrhundert.
Postkritický proud v současné angloamerické teologii
Tato kniha ovšem nechce pouze podat přehled o jednom proudu teologického uvažování. Jako červená niť se jí vine otázka, “jak dělat teologii dnes“. V návaznosti na Polányiho teorii vědeckých objevů chce sama uvádět na cestu teologického objevování, po které před námi kráčely velké postavy Písma svatého a dějin křesťanství. K této cestě patří “indwelling“ - přebývání v realitě, o níž teolog píše, především bohoslužebný kontakt s teologickou skutečností a otevřenost tomu, jak se nám tato skutečnost dává poznat, dále učednictví a víra, která hledá porozumění.
