Indonesia, the governing department should have standard rules into the production of the combat helmet for the army and how manufacturing processes should consider on the material and the design shape in the future, such as lowering weight and adding mobility to the user. Ultimately, the suggestions made in this report can plausibly change on how the governing standards of Indonesian combat helmets for the army can move into the next level and finally can demonstrate a higher level of quality in many parts of the helmet design that has been examined and analysed with the support of academic research and testing protocols. Currently, the department needs to focus on the potential fragmentation in the future such as threats, especially brain injury from bullet effects or other ballistic threats. As a result, it is arguable that the army and the head office of production for combat helmets should concern on the operational testing and evaluation before making the decision to produce the proposed design of the helmet. This can, therefore, improve the design of the combat helmet for the army in Indonesia.

The role of design in the formation of the Silicon Valley ecosystem of innovation. California's Silicon Valley is home to the greatest concentration of designers in the world: corporate design offices at flagship technology companies and volunteers at nonprofit NGOs; global design consultancies and boutique studios; research laboratories and academic design programs. Together they form the interconnected network that is Silicon Valley. Apple products are famously “Designed in California,” but, as Barry Katz shows in this first-ever, extensively illustrated history, the role of design in Silicon Valley began decades before Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak dreamed up Apple in a garage. Designing Designing

designing designing is one of the most extraordinary books on design ever written. First published in 1984 and reprinted with this title and cover in 1991, the book was the product of ten years of auto-critique, reflection and experimentation on writing on designing. Offering a savage auto-critique of his own work on “methods”, as well as of the wider methods and ends of advanced industrial societies as a whole, this book challenges the traditional product- and progress- orientated focus on design by insisting that the world now coming into being requires designing to be understood as 'a response to the whole of life.' But designing designing is also unique in modern design thinking in its exploration of what writing on designing might be. Combining essays, interviews, reflections, performances, plays, poems, chance procedures, photographs, collages and quotes, Jones experiments with both form and content in an attempt to make a book which 'is not simply about designing but is instead itself an instance of the ideas and processes explored within it.'

How are the rise of design and neoliberalism connected? How does design change the way we operate as economic beings? What is the economic significance of design? Historically, design has been promoted for its for its capacity to add value to products and services. In contemporary capitalism, however, it assumes a more central and more complex role. Design today is both influenced by, and actively shapes, our economic systems. This ground-breaking book shines a spotlight on how design has become embedded in political economies. It reveals the multiple ways in which design has emerged as a vital feature of neoliberal economic systems, from urban strategies to commercial processes to governmen...
