The dead are restless, and they’re reaching out to me whether I like it or not. I just wanted a fresh start, a new life in New Hampshire with my grandmother and cousin. But the ghosts that surround me have other plans. They’re haunting the halls of the nursing home where my cousin, Albie, and I have taken summer jobs. And they’re trying to tell me something, but I don’t know what it is. Staff members go missing and no one bats an eye. Seemingly healthy patients disappear on an off-limits floor of the home and no one wants to talk about it. The dead can’t talk, but they can show me so much, if I’m willing to let them. If I can’t figure out who or what is behind the disappearances, I’m afraid I could be the next one to go missing. My name is Casey Pope, and I see dead people. Casey is in a race against time. Missing people, stolen souls, and sinister forces may be too much for her to handle. Can she get to the bottom of the mysterious happenings in the strange and secretive nursing home before it’s too late?

'REBOUND' is a 'Pandora's Box' of several stories, each of which would merit a book in its own right. By means of an interesting format we are led through a series of graphic and exciting descriptions of, 'life in the field' with the SAS/SIS. It is little wonder that nightmares were the order of the day. The quality of the writing, particularly the action sequences in the field (and the bedroom!), mean that it is difficult to put the book down and the reader is often tempted to spend the extra minutes. Thorough research together with the author's ability to incorporate aspects of his personal experience, results in a piece of work which is both credible and exciting. Ken Theaker

For the first time, this book tells the Wytham story in a way that is accessible to both scientist and general reader alike. It provides a fascinating overview of what the Woods are like, their history, composition (both plant and animal), and how their wildlife has changed over time. This iconic location has been the subject of a series of continuous ecological research programmes dating back to the 1920s, a level of continuity of research effort that is extremely rare. Hence there is a strong emphasis on the significance of the scientific research that has been done there and how this has contributed to ecological thinking elsewhere.
