A análise da vulnerabilidade dos trabalhadores que contam com mais idade não se circunscreve às pessoas idosas, albergando, inclusive, os envelhescentes, isto é, os indivíduos acima de quarenta anos de idade. Nesse sentido, são considerados os estágios pré e pós-contratual, além do próprio decurso do contrato de trabalho, períodos nos quais, não raro, os direitos da personalidade são aviltados. Confere-se realce, então, aos períodos denominados de crise, representados pela crise econômica de 2008 e a pandemia de Covid-19.
