Simon and his six year old daughter, Gemma, inherit an old watermill from Simon's grand-father. The watermill is also home to a paranormal investigation newspaper business. Simon and Gemma decide to not only move into the watermill but to also continue the newspaper and therefore make a living for themselves in their new home. They are soon joined by a group of friends as their introduction into the supernatural, paranormal world of investigating begins with a late evening telephone call from an old lady who is experiencing a haunting from a spirit. Armed with gadgets, a friendly ghost, and an android friend they visit the old lady little knowing that they are walking into a trap set by a devious and extremely malevolent entity.
