La juventud y la migración indígena
El volumen que el lector tiene en sus manos está compuesto por breves descripciones y aportes de procesos de investigación diversos cuya finalidad es caracterizar a dos poblaciones que históricamente han sido segregadas hacia la vulnerabilidad: la juventud y la población indígena. Este libro resume, desde una posición empírica y teórica, lo que dichas poblaciones han experimentado histórica y actualmente como parte de un crecimiento desigual de la nación. Las investigaciones versan sobre las problemáticas de acceso a la salud que los migrantes indígenas sufren en la zona metropolitana de Guadalajara; la depresión desde una perspectiva teórica y las causas de su presencia en la población joven; y la resiliencia como mecanismo ante la falta de oportunidades y el rezago social en la población joven del municipio de Santa María del Río, San Luis Potosí. Spatial Impacts of Climate Change
Climate change has been a central concern over recent years, with visible and highly publicized consequences such as melting Arctic ice and mountain glaciers, rising sea levels, and the submersion of low-lying coastal areas during mid-latitude and tropical cyclones. This book presents a review of the spatial impacts of contemporary climate change, with a focus on a systematic, multi-scalar approach. Beyond the facts – rises in temperature, changes in the spatial distribution of precipitation, melting of the marine and terrestrial cryosphere, changes in hydrological regimes at high and medium latitudes, etc. – it also analyzes the geopolitical consequences in the Arctic and Central Asia, changes to Mediterranean culture and to viticulture on a global scale, as well as impacts on the distribution of life, for example, in the Amazon rainforest, in large biomes on a global scale, and for birds.
Índice de Estado de Derecho en México 2020-2021
El Índice ofrece datos organizados en ocho factores que enmarcan el concepto de Estado de Derecho: 1) Límites al poder gubernamental, 2) Ausencia de corrupción, 3) Gobierno abierto, 4) Derechos fundamentales, 5) Orden y seguridad, 6) Cumplimiento regulatorio, 7) Justicia civil, y 8) Justicia penal. En conjunto, los resultados del Índice de Estado de Derecho en México 2020-2021 evidencian un estancamiento en el progreso del país hacia un Estado de Derecho robusto, con cambios marginales en los puntajes generales desde la última edición del Índice. Los puntajes de los ocho factores se desagregan en 42 sub-factores, los cuales reflejan las perspectivas y experiencias de más de 25,000 personas en todo el país, más de 2,300 especialistas en justicia civil, justicia penal, justicia laboral y salud pública (a quienes se entrevistó entre julio y octubre de 2020), así como resultados de una multiplicidad de encuestas y bases de datos de otras instituciones reconocidas en estos temas (fuentes terciarias).
