Lech Kaczyński był wielkim patriotą, człowiekiem niezwykłym na tle swojej epoki. Cechowała go wielka odwaga, obywatelska odpowiedzialność. Był prawy, pełen wrażliwości na sprawy społeczne i sprawy narodu – te zawsze pozostawały dla niego najważniejsze.
