O livro Enlace surgiu da parceria entre o Acadêmico João Gomes e o Prof. Arão Filho, ambos poetas e amigos, que resolveram lançar uma obra diferenciada contendo poemas de vários estilos e gêneros, com o objetivo de atender aos mais variados gostos, ao mesmo tempo em que demonstram de forma lírica seus pensamentos e sentimentos a respeito do cotidiano e de questões filosóficas. Em muitos dos poemas contidos no livro Enlace vemos claramente flashes da vida dos autores retratados de forma única e empolgante. O título ‘Enlace’ traduz-se pela união poética entre os autores e seus laços com São Luís do Maranhão, tais laços são expostos logo na capa e desenvolvidos ao logo do livro.
