La observación del desarrollo infantil
Este libro pretende ser, como su nombre lo indica, un insumo para orientar los procesos de observación sobre el desarrollo infantil que necesitan adelantar en el aula los educadores en proceso de formación, con el fin de mejorar sus prácticas educativas. Los dos conceptos centrales de este proceso son, en primer término, la observación, y, posteriormente, el desarrollo infantil. A lo largo del texto, se procura promover la utilización de una amplia variedad de técnicas y estrategias de observación, de modo que los educadores infanti-les estén capacitados para llevar a cabo un seguimiento del desarrollo infantil y logren diseñar planeaciones pedagógicas que potencien el desarrollo de una forma integral y atenta a la diversidad de ritmos, intereses y contextos de los niños y las niñas.
Educación ambiental en la primera infancia
La educación ambiental en la primera infancia consiste en diseñar y desarrollar recursos, escenarios, herramientas y metodologías pedagógicas que redunden en experiencias pedagógicas significativas para la infancia, con el objetivo de fortalecer desde las primeras edades competencias y habilidades que contribuyan al cuidado, la conservación, la protección y el aprovechamiento óptimo de los ecosistemas. Al respecto, el propósito de este libro es contribuir con una herramienta que oriente la construcción de un marco pedagógico y académico que beneficie el desarrollo de la educación ambiental en la primera infancia en ámbitos escolares, de educación superior, de política pública y otros escenarios en los que participan niños.

Stupidity. What is it? Is is just something we see our neighbors and parents/kids do (and members of the opposite political party)? Or is it something more? Why does it seem to be so universal? Are there fundamentals of stupidity that can be recognized? These are the questions discussed in this volume. It presents six fundamentals of stupidity that lead to the stupid choices we see all around us. Included among these are the belief that there are no moral values, that God does not exist, and that it is acceptable to become addicted and to treat others badly and be proud. In the end, we see that the only sure way to avoid the fundamentals of stupidity is through the saving power of Jesus Christ.
