Don't Wake Up George Brown!

Alan Jones shares his reminiscences of growing up in South Liverpool during the forties and fifties in the aftermath of the Second World War - the most destructive war the world has ever known. It was a time of austerity, of rationing, but also a time when the extended family was still largely in existence. As part of an extended family, he recalls how he spent as much time with his grandmother as he did with his parents, and given she had brought up nine children, it was a family of sizeable proportions. It was a time when children had much more freedom to roam the streets and when corporal punishment was woven into the fabric of school life.

There are several worlds of magic. The glittering world of the illusionist; the flippant world of the conjuror and the world of the 'real magician' manifesting change, summoning supernatural entities - the stuff of stories and legend. The truth is that Magic is Real and Magicians do work to understand their relationship with themselves, others and the Cosmos. This book is an attempt to reclaim the magician by recognising the role he or she plays and the wisdom to which they aspire. It is a brief journey through the worlds of psychology, science and ritual. It will set those seeking mystical 'truths' for the first time and offer food for thought to the established occult practitioner. This book explores aspects of psychology, physics, occult philosophy and offers practical steps and ideas for starting or continuing your own journey into the world of the real magician. Make magick relevant by reclaiming the Magician. Believe Everything and Believe Nothing Find the Magician Within

Passion for Pilgrimage

The Christian spiritual journey is a pilgrimage to wholeness, a search for home that is in God. In this classic work on contemporary spiritual living, Alan Jones explores the various parts of the pilgrimage home. Using literature, art, and biblical texts as illustrations, he explores our search for light and love, repentance, and forgiveness in the context of the Passion and Easter stories. An excellent book for group study during Lent and Easter, this edition includes study questions at the end of each chapter. Passion for Pilgrimage is also provocative reading for individuals at any time of the year who want to understand the Christian journey more deeply.
