Obra de divulgação científica, sem fins comerciais, realizada com recursos do IFPB – campus Esperança, por intermédio do Edital Interconecta 01/2019. Partindo da compreensão de que o estudo histórico das ruas pode revelar muito das memórias de uma localidade, esta obra procura apresentar à comunidade os esforços e as aspirações que empreendemos no sentido de conhecer um pouco da história de Areial, na Paraíba. Trata-se de uma narrativa que apresenta traços biográficos e registros de histórias de personalidades locais, assim como fatos que nomeiam as ruas da cidade. Tudo isso é resultante de um dos objetivos empreendidos no projeto de pesquisa intitulado As cidades e as ruas: histórias e memórias no Agreste Paraibano, no âmbito do IFPB – campus Esperança, em 2019.
