The reality of children working and living on the streets has posed a great challenge in Kenya. Scholars have made efforts to explain why it occurs and what might be done about the situation through various studies and research projects. However, research with these children has so far been centered mainly on the causal factors and the nature and impact of life on the streets, through bibliographic details. This book offers an analysis of present interventions. Through qualitative social research, the author focuses on the dynamics in the educational rehabilitation of children working and living on the streets of Kenya. John Kabutha Mugo studied music education at Kenyatta University in Kenya and education for children with special needs at the University of Hannover, where he was awarded a doctorate.
