Edinburgh 2010
"The Centenary of the World Missionary Conference, held in Edinburgh 1910, is a suggestive moment for many people seeking direction for Christian mission in the 21st century. Several different constituencies within World Christianity are holding significant events around 2010. Since 2005 an international group has worked collaboratively to develop an interncontinental and multidenominational project, now known as Edinburgh 2010, and based at New College, University of Edinburgh. This initiative brings together representatives of twenty different global Christian bodies, representing all major Christian denominations and confessions and many different strands of mission and church life, to prepare for the Centenary." Lesser Feasts and Fasts 2018
Lesser Feasts and Fasts had not been updated since 2006. This updated edition, adopted at the 79th General Convention (resolution A065), fills that need. Biographies and collects associated with those included within the volume have been updated; a deliberate effort has been made to more closely balance the men and women represented within its pages.

This volume was written for the people of the Church in order to make vivid to those who were not present what the Conference really was and did. The Committee wanted to give readers a new vision of the central place of Christian missionaries in the history (1910) of the world, and of what God would have them to do for the coming of the Kingdom of Christ.

Adam and Anne Mott
Adam Mott (1762-1839), a Quaker, was born in North Hempstead Township, Long Island, the son of Adam and Sarah Willis Mott. He married Anne Mott (1768-1852), daughter of James Mott of Mamaroneck, New York, Adam's second cousin, in 1785. They had six children, 1786-1798. He died at Rochester, New York. Descendants listed lived in New York, Ohio and elsewhere.
