To directly address the systematics a poorly-known group with multiple candidate species, I present an integrative taxonomic revision of the genus Nototriton using data from three genes, external morphology, and osteology. I restrict the taxon N. barbouri to populations from the Sierra de Sulaco, describe three new species from the Chortís Highlands, and a review of the remaining regional species. In light of these findings, I present my vision for using systematic biology as the basis for integrating research, education, and outreach in support of biodiversity conservation in the Chortís Block.
