Peter (Petrus) Kessenich (1808-1879) was born in Oedekoven, Prussia (now Germany). He married Elisabeth Streng in 1837. She died before 1848, and Peter married Gertrude Lollyn. They immigrated to the United States in 1848 with Peter's brother, Henry (Heinrich), and his family and settled in Ashton, Dane County, Wisconsin. Descendants and relatives lived in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Louisiana, California and elsewhere. Includes ancestors in Germany and Scotland.

Das gab den Anstoß für meine damalige Untersuchung.
