O presente livro aborda a despatologização da psicose na constituição do sujeito a partir da perspectiva psicanalítica. Utilizando a revisão bibliográfica das obras de Freud e Lacan, bem como de comentadores e artigos científicos, o estudo investiga os fundamentos da teoria psicanalítica relativos à formação do sujeito. Explora conceitos essenciais como o complexo de Édipo, o narcisismo e as operações de alienação e separação para verificar se existem "falhas" constitutivas na psicose. Conclui que, na psicanálise, o foco é sempre a subjetividade do sujeito, independentemente de sua estrutura clínica.
