O livro GÊNEROS TEXTUAIS: DA PESQUISA AO ENSINO E À EXTENSÃO dedica atenção especial às abordagens dos gêneros textuais nos contextos do ensino básico em língua portuguesa. Este livro conta com 11 artigos e 24 autores(as), todos(as) engajados(as) nos estudos dos gêneros textuais e comprometidos(as) com o ensino da língua portuguesa. A temática global da obra se volta, principalmente, a questões relacionadas ao ensino da leitura e da produção de gêneros diversos, em contextos sociais, igualmente, diversificados; a relação com as orientações da Base Nacional Comum Curricular; e, em especial, a propostas pedagógicas oriundas das pesquisas realizadas. Dessa forma, os leitores encontrarão temas que dialogam, por exemplo, com gêneros como: redação modelo ENEM, anúncios publicitários, verbetes no meio digital, post, nota de repúdio, orientados por diferentes bases teóricas, como Argumentação, Multimodalidade, Semiolinguística, dentre outras.

Computational Science and Its Applications – ICCSA 2019
The six volumes LNCS 11619-11624 constitute the refereed proceedings of the 19th International Conference on Computational Science and Its Applications, ICCSA 2019, held in Saint Petersburg, Russia, in July 2019. The 64 full papers, 10 short papers and 259 workshop papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected form numerous submissions. The 64 full papers are organized in the following five general tracks: computational methods, algorithms and scientific applications; high performance computing and networks; geometric modeling, graphics and visualization; advanced and emerging applications; and information systems and technologies. The 259 workshop papers were presented at 33 workshops in various areas of computational sciences, ranging from computational science technologies to specific areas of computational sciences, such as software engineering, security, artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies.

When I started blogging almost 10 years ago, on the 4th of August 2016, my goal was to have a place where I could capture and express my thoughts and feelings about stuff, i.e., a place where I could digress about the things that interested me (Shakespeare, SF, Opera, Film, etc.) It also provided a kind of repository where my kids, say, could go to get glimpses of me that may go unexplored otherwise. For me, blogging was never about numbers, instead it was about meaning and sharing meaning with those who cared. I'm not a writer, not even an aspiring one. I am an Engineer with a lot going on in heart and mind that I'd like to build into a legacy of sorts. So I'm not into volume in terms of blog hits and the like. You won't find on my blog the answer why we go to Shake-speare's plays even when we know the outcome of everyone of them. Are there people interested in knowing this? I doubt it. I don't even know whether there are still people reading Shakespeare in Elizabethan English!
