O Grupo de Pesquisa "Comunicação, Mídia e Sociedade" foi criado em 2011 com o propósito de ser um espaço de discussão, produção e publicação dos estudos desenvolvidos pelos pesquisadores e estudantes dos Cursos de Jornalismo, Publicidade e Propaganda e Relações Públicas da Universidade do Sagrado Coração. Ao longo dos 11 anos de existência os pesquisadores e estudantes participantes do grupo dedicaram-se à elaboração e publicação de artigos e tiveram inúmeras oportunidades para socializar seus conhecimentos em encontros e congressos da área. Também, como resultado dos estudos e pesquisas desenvolvidos por docentes e alunos, o grupo produziu duas publicações, uma em 2013 e outra em 2018. Na atualidade, no âmbito da instituição Unisagrado, o grupo disponibiliza para os interessados e estudiosos da área "Comunicação em transformação", uma obra que aglutina as pesquisas produzidas no contexto da pandemia do Covid 19. Esperamos com essa publicação contribuir com aqueles que têm interesse nos temas abordados em cada capítulo.

The Physiology of Inflammation – The Final Common Pathway to Disease
Chronic diseases are increasingly recognized as involving low grade inflammation, that is, a self-perpetuating tissue response to stress caused by exogenous or endogenous triggers, that progressively evokes danger-associated molecular pattern release, ultimately driving tissue damage and loss of function. This response is frequently unapparent clinically, thus the designation "low grade". This eBook comprises nineteen reviews and original articles that provide the most updated knowledge on the causes and roles of this inflammatory response in a variety of diseases and conditions. The editorial that precedes these articles not only summarizes each one, but provides a broader interpretation of the role of inflammation in health and a variety of disease conditions, the underlying mechanisms and the targets more promising for therapy. Economics and Management of Networks
Previous research on the institutional structure of franchising networks (Bri- ley et al. 1991; Lutz 1995; Shane 1998; Lafontaine and Shaw 1999, 2005; - fuso 2002; Penard et al. 2003a,b) does not explain the governance structure of the franchising firm as an institutional entity that consists of two interrelated parts: Residual decision rights and ownership rights.
