I have attempted to portray a young man coming of age with a world view that straddles the transition between seeking truth through spirituality and seeking truth through science. His name is Hamlet. Hamlet and his mother suffer from bipolar disorder, and he marries a woman whose father was schizophrenic and committed suicide, so he yearns for a sense of confidence in the capabilities of psychological science. Unfortunately, Hamlet becomes isolated by the social stigma he faces, and his relationships grow wrought with misunderstanding and anger.
