Education and Gender from Different Angles is a collection of scientific and practice orientated papers that can be acknowledged from four different angles: gender and teachers, teaching approaches, labor market outcomes, and sexual education. Additionally, the book describes the European project known as 'EDGE: Education and Gender.' A key aspect of the project was testing curriculum material, developed by the EDGE group, to be used in single and co-educative class groups to find the effects of single-sex education on motivation. Educational institutions should offer a safe and secure environment for young people. Part of that should be educational equity, which is a measure of achievement, fairness, and opportunity in education. This publication analyses and discusses educational equality from different angles. All contributions reflect on the current situation of 11 European countries. All of them are part of the Bologna process and are dealing with the challenges of the development of a European Higher Education Area. This ongoing process is reflected in the present publication, with a specific focus on equality in education. The authors cover aspects like inclusion and inequality, internationalizing education, and accessing education, but they also deal with learning foreign languages, education for the future, assessment, feedback and student success, lifelong learning, teacher training as well as different aspects of the LGB(T+) community and gender and education.

Discrimination against the LGBT+ community persists across Europe. Education is not immune to this: Young people across the continent continue to experience homophobic and transphobic behaviour in schools. This publication provides education practitioners and policy makers with historical perspectives, trends in educational practice, and reflections on desiderata for the future. This publication was developed as part of the All Inc! project, an ERASMUS+ KA2 partnership (2020-2023) funded by the European Commission and implemented by 16 educational institutions in Belgium, Germany, Greece, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Spain. The project's core aim is to encourage awareness, understanding, and inclusion of the LGBT+ community within and beyond the school gates as well as to reflect on what is needed in the future for an educational approach that is fit for purpose in contemporary society.
The attitudes of societies towards ageism in an aging Europe have now become a social phenomenon. This study, which examines and deals with this phenomenon in various European countries, provides an opportunity to analyze the dimensions of ageism in different contexts. Based on these analyses, the exposure levels of older individuals to ageism in aging societies and the discriminatory attitudes of younger generations have been revealed. The book aims to make contributions to the field of ageism in European countries and contains a brief literature review on ageism and descriptive analyses in country context. As part of the project the project 'WISELIFE: Raising Awareness About Ageism' funded by EU ERASMUS+, this book investigates the concept of ageism in Turkey, Hungary, Poland and Italy. It is an essential resource for institutions working with older people, non-governmental organizations, academic circles dealing with age discrimination, and organizations such as the continuing education centers and lifelong learning centers providing education for older people to understand age discrimination and the situation of this concept in Europe.

Internationalisation of teacher training is a major challenge in the 21st century. For universities, university colleges and schools, internationalisation is now more important than ever. This publication considers a variety of perspectives related to internationalisation and explores aspects such as diversity, globalisation, interculturality, multilingualism, political education, and in particular, sustainable development.
