Abgetrennte Körpersubstanzen werden intensiv in der wissenschaftlichen Forschung zur Generierung von Wissen und der Erforschung und Entwicklung von neuen medizinischen Präparaten verwendet. Gerade für Erkrankungen im Kindesalter ergibt sich dabei eine Vielzahl von Möglichkeiten bezüglich der Untersuchung der Krankheitsentstehung, ihrer Mechanismen sowie ihrer Diagnose und Therapie. Trotz eines bestehenden großen Forschungsbedarfs ist die Forschung mit Minderjährigen nicht unproblematisch, da diese als besonders vulnerabel gelten und vor Risiken und Gefahren der Forschung geschützt werden müssen. Um zur Lösung dieser Problematik beizutragen, wird in dieser Arbeit untersucht, wie sich der rechtliche Rahmen der medizinischen Forschung an abgetrennten Körpersubstanzen Minderjähriger gestaltet.
