The Raabe Story (1863-1988).
Family history of Johannes Raabe (1808-1871), who was born at Münchhau- sen, Hessen, Prussia, a son of a farmer, Henry Raabe and his wife Eve Briel. He married Katharina Detsch (1813-1871) 1831 in Wetter, Hessen, Germany. She was born at Mittelsimtshausen, Hessen to Johannes Detsch and Elisabetha Gimpel. They had nine children, all born in Germany. Family left Germany for Australia in 1863. Johannes and Katharina Raabe both died at Walloon. Today descendants can be found in parts of Southern Queensland, in other states of Australia and elsewhere.
Neighbourhood Perceptions of the Ukraine Crisis
Recent events in Ukraine and Russia and the subsequent incorporation of Crimea into the Russian state, with the support of some circles of inhabitants of the peninsula, have shown that the desire of people to belong to the Western part of Europe should not automatically be assumed. Discussing different perceptions of the Ukrainian-Russian war in neighbouring countries, this book offers an analysis of the conflicts and issues connected with the shifting of the border regions of Russia and Ukraine to show how ’material’ and ’psychological’ borders are never completely stable ideas. The Women Writers in Schiller's Horen
This work examines the integral role that six female authors played in Schiller's ambitious literary journal, Die Horen (1795-97). Louise Brachmann, Friederike Brun, Amalie von Imhoff, Sophie Mereau, Elisa von der Recke, and Caroline von Wolzogen helped put the journal back on track when it floundered fiscally and programmatically and their literary contributions were among the most successful the journal ever received. Beyond a critical discussion of the women's publications in Schiller's journal, this work addresses the range of problems associated with women's writing and publishing during the late eighteenth century, the aesthetics of Weimar Classicism, Schiller, and to a lesser degree, Goethe, as patrons, and the interprettation of literary history.

Transcultural Areas
Based on culture as a complex system of rules it is too obvious that each rule has a particular range which is only exceptionally congruent with national or natural borders. In general, cultural exchange is not limited by political borders or rivers, forests, seas, or mountains. Those areas are rather transcultural, which is especially true for markets and towns.
