New vocabulary is explained and divided by frequency into seven vocabulary lists for the respective vocabulary exams. New exercises challenge the students and increase their fluency in translation. In addition, the text includes informative illustrations and graphics, thoughtful layout, full indexes, a glossary, charts and new paradigms. By the end of this course, the student is thoroughly prepared forGreek exegesis and advanced courses on Greek syntax.
Our Catholic faith teaches that we should experience new life, abundant joy, and exuberant hope. Yet sadly, many of our parishes lack any of these. Drawing from decades of experience and service to over a hundred parishes, Deacon Keith Strohm breaks down the often complex and overwhelming task of parish renewal using a simple-to-understand framework that can help put your community on the path to vitality. Whether you’ve just begun the journey toward parish renewal or your parish is well on its way toward new life and mission, this book will provide critical insights and tools to help you on the way. “Ablaze gets to the heart of the matter in challenging parish and diocesan leadership to step up and, in spite of the cost, lead a transformation of the culture of their organizations.” —from the foreword by FR. JAMES MALLON, author of Divine Renovation: Bringing Your Parish from Maintenance to Mission
The present book contains a course to learn the Greek of the New Testament. 42 lessons are given; every 7th lesson is a repetition. Thanks to modern computer programmes we can offer a unique method, as it was possible to order a vast number of data, so as to present them in a useful fashion. An assimilating learning technique is used. That is to say, one is immersed immediately into the Greek of the N.T., also called Koine. At first one learns simple phrases. Later on these become complete sentences. In this way the student gets used to the Greek of the New Testament from the beginning and gradually is trained to advance. Most grammar and vocabulary has been worked into the sentences and learning those one gets acquainted with the Greek in a playful way. This ia a very useful and commendable book for the beginner of New Testament Greek. For enough grammar and words are learned to set one on his or her way towards reading the New Testament by oneself.
