Was ist ein historisches Ereignis? Wie wird es ein Narrativ in Literatur und anderen kulturellen Medien? Und wie werden die Narrative Teil des kulturellen Gedächtnisses bzw. (supra)nationaler Gedächtnispolitiken? Das sind die Forschungsfragen, denen die Autorinnen und Autoren des vorliegenden Sammelbandes anhand einer der 'Urszenen' in der Geschichte des "kurzen" 20. Jahrhunderts nachgehen: des Attentats von Gavrilo Princip und seiner Gruppe auf den österreichisch-ungarischen Thronfolger und dessen Ehefrau am 28. Juni 1914 - ein Ereignis, das den Anfang einer Verwicklung markiert, die zum Ersten Weltkrieg führte. Präsentiert werden die Ergebnisse einer von der EU mitgetragenen, interdisziplinären wie internationalen Tagung zum Thema im Juni 2014 vor Ort, bei der Historiographie, Literatur-, Kultur- und Sozialwissenschaften in einen Dialog traten.

This is especially true for Dinaric karst, where they are often the only water bodies present. However, despite their importance, they remain widely overlooked and excluded from government policies like the EU Water Framework Directive. "Die linguistischen Gesetzmäßigkeiten der bosnischen Sprache" ist als Lehrbuch für deutschsprachige Studierende aller Fakultäten, Sprachwissenschaftler und Philologen konzipiert, deren Lernziel Bosnisch als Fremdsprache ist. Das Lehrwerk bietet einen tieferen Einblick in die verbalen und nonverbalen Kommunikationsformen, in die grundlegenden strukturellen Regeln, linguistische Charakteristik und die Besonderheiten der bosnischen Sprache. Die angewandte Methodik in diesem Lehrbuch folgt dem kommunikativ-interkulturellen Ansatz und ist auch auf die Lernenden ausgerichtet, die keine Vorkenntnisse im Wortschatz oder in der Grammatik haben. Safe Area Goražde
In late 1995 and early 1996, cartoonist/reporter Joe Sacco travelled four times to Gorazde, a UN-designated safe area during the Bosnian War, which had teetered on the brink of obliteration for three and a half years. Still surrounded by Bosnian Serb forces, the mainly Muslim people of Gorazde had endured heavy attacks and severe privation to hang on to their town while the rest of Eastern Bosnia was brutally 'cleansed' of its non-Serb population.
