This book continues the biannual series of conference proceedings, which has become a classical reference resource in traffic and granular research alike, and addresses the latest developments at the intersection of physics, engineering and computational science. This book constitutes the proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Cellular Automata for Research and Industry, ACRI 2018, held in Como, Italy, in September 2018.
