After the overwhelming success of Asymmetric Synthesis - The Essentials, displaying a broad range of organic asymmetric syntheses, this is the second edition with latest subjects and authors. While the aim of the first edition was mainly to honor the achievements of the pioneers in asymmetric syntheses, the aim of this new edition was bringing the current developments, especially from younger colleagues, to the attention of students. The format of the book remained unchanged, i.e. short conceptual overviews by young leaders in their field including a short biography of the authors. The Letts Line
This Letts family begins with William Letts who came to America from England in 1665. He landed in Elizabethtown, New Jersey. He married Elizabeth Laud in 1667. They had two children and Elizabeth died about 1685/6. He then married his second wife Ann and had two more children. Descendants are living in New Jersey, Virginia, Texas and elsewhere in the United States. Includes families of Platt, Suttle, Fisher and others marrying into the family.
