Analyzing multilevel governance in Indonesia: Lessons for REDD+ from the study of landuse change in Central and West Kalimantan
Who makes land use decisions, how are decisions made, and who influences whom, how and why? This working paper is part of a series based on research studying multilevel decision-making institutions and processes. The series is aimed at providing insight into why efforts to keep forests standing, such as initiatives like Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+), are still so far from altering development trajectories. It underlines the importance of understanding the politics of multilevel governance in forest, land and climate policy and practice, and identifies potential ways forward.

Socio-Economic Issues of Climate Change
This book conducts a holistic analysis of climate change perceptions, vulnerabilities, impacts, and adaptation, based on the primary household-data collected from the Chepang community residing in the rural Mid-Hills of Nepal. Fostering Gender-Transformative Change in Sustainable Forest Management : The Case of the Dedicated Grant Mechanism (DGM)
Since 2015, the Dedicated Grant Mechanism for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (DGM) has provided a unique model for inclusive and bottom-up approaches to delivering climate finance for sustainable forest management. Through 12 country-level programs designed and implemented by Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs), the DGM is guiding investment of around $80 million and impacting the livelihoods of over 200,000 people. DGM supported activities are intended to be designed and implemented in a gender-responsive and socially inclusive manner and aim to improve key gender equality outcomes based on the particular and varied contexts of DGM countries.
