Die SIA-Norm 118 als wichtigste Allgemeine Vertragsbedingung für schweizerische Bau-Werkverträge ist in ihrer revidierten Fassung 2013 bereits 10 Jahre in Anwendung. Lehre und Rechtsprechung haben mit Publikationen und Entscheiden dazu beigetragen, Fragen zu klären, aber auch neue Fragen aufgeworfen. Die überarbeitete Neuauflage des Kommentars führt einerseits Lehre und Rechtsprechung nach und setzt sich andererseits kritisch mit verschiedenen offenen Fragen auseinander. Die Kasuistik zu einzelnen Artikeln wurde aktualisiert und gestrafft.
