This volume contains the Proceedings of the Conference on Completeness Problems, Carleson Measures, and Spaces of Analytic Functions, held from June 29–July 3, 2015, at the Institut Mittag-Leffler, Djursholm, Sweden. The conference brought together experienced researchers and promising young mathematicians from many countries to discuss recent progress made in function theory, model spaces, completeness problems, and Carleson measures. Fifteen years ago, most mathematicians who worked in the intersection of function theory and operator theory thought that progress on the Bergman spaces was unlikely, yet today the situation has completely changed. For several years, research interest and activity have expanded in this area and there are now rich theories describing the Bergman spaces and their operators. This book is devoted to the applications of probability theory to the theory of nonlinear partial differential equations. More precisely, it is shown that all positive solutions for a class of nonlinear elliptic equations in a domain are described in terms of their traces on the boundary of the domain. The main probabilistic tool is the theory of superdiffusions, which describes a random evolution of a cloud of particles. A substantial enhancement of this theory is presented that will be of interest to anyone who works on applications of probabilistic methods to mathematical analysis. The book is suitable for graduate students and research mathematicians interested in probability theory and its applications to differential equations.
