The notion of the minor, developed by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari in Kafka, Towards a minor literature (1975), is introduced and connected applied here for the very first time to the field of photography theory. Deleuze and Guattari defined minor literature in terms of deterritorialization, politicization and collectivization. Fault in American Contract Law

Pavel Tichý's Collected Papers in Logic and Philosophy
Pavel Tichy was an original, gifted logician and philosopher of language. He developed what he called Transparent Intensional Logic, a semantic theory within which to analyze both natural and artificial languages. This theory is devoted to the central problem of saying exactly what it is that we learn, know and can communicate when we come to understand what a sentence means. The theory remains one of the most inspiring and controversial doctrines of contemporary philosophical logic, attracting passionate defenders and equally fierce opponents. More than forty papers are collected together in this book to trace the development of Tichy's ideas. They include his earliest papers (hitherto available only in Czech), the papers that informed his important 1998 monograph The Foundations of Frege's Logic, through to the mature doctrines that he was still elaborating at his untimely death in 1994. Also included are several acclaimed polemical pieces in which Tichy criticized the leading, and he thought mistaken, ideas of influential contemporary thinkers.
Vegetation Survey and Classification of Subtropical Forests of Southern Africa
This book highlights classification patterns and underlying ecological drivers structuring the vegetation of selected indigenous subtropical forests in South Africa. It uses original field sampling and advanced numerical data analysis to examine three major types of forest – Albany Coastal Forests, Pondoland Coastal Scarp and Eastern Scarp – all of which are of high conservation value. Offering a unique and systematic assessment of South African ecology in unprecedented detail, the book could serve as a model for future vegetation surveys of forests not only in Africa, but also around the globe.

Optical Nonlinearities in Chalcogenide Glasses and Their Applications
This book reviews techniques used to characterize non-linear optical constants of chalcogenide glasses in bulk or thin films, and presents the properties of many chalcogenide systems.
