In questo libro l’autore si propone di fornire un panorama quanto più esauriente possibile delle Opere che hanno riempito i teatri nel Novecento, soprattutto di quelle che, pur costituendone la maggioranza, non sono state più riprese dopo la morte dei loro autori. Protagonista di questo saggio è l’Opera, non tanto il singolo compositore; di essa si fornisce al lettore una guida all’ascolto in cui, oltre ad un’analisi della parte musicale, vengono delineate la sua genesi, la sua ricezione - attraverso recensioni della prima rappresentazione - e la sua fortuna con le riprese moderne. La trattazione è completata dagli indici dei nomi e delle Opere - inseriti al fine di facilitarne la consultazione - nonché da una bibliografia essenziale, stimolo per ulteriori approfondimenti.
Körper(-lichkeit) in der Musik des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts
Das performative und konzeptuelle Potenzial des menschlichen Körpers rückt seit der Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts zunehmend in den Fokus künstlerischer Auseinandersetzung. Die Beiträger*innen des Bandes widmen sich kompositorischen und performativen Konzepten, in welchen der menschliche Körper nicht nur als Mittel zum Zweck der Klangerzeugung eingesetzt und als nebensächlich verstanden wird, sondern in welchen die Ausdrucks- und Bewegungsmöglichkeiten des Körpers im Zentrum künstlerischer Überlegungen stehen. Mithilfe interdisziplinärer Ansätze aus unterschiedlichen (künstlerisch-)wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen wird die Thematik »Körper«/»Körperlichkeit« anhand verschiedener Musikkulturen und -genres des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts erörtert.
