A Escola Mineira de Processo é formada por um conjunto de professores provenientes da Faculdade Mineira de Direito (PUC Minas) e da Faculdade de Direito da UFMG e defende algumas posições jurídicas ainda hoje revolucionárias, pois não plenamente realizadas em nossa realidade jurídica: a centralidade da Constituição, o processo como direito fundamental, a indispensabilidade do contraditório, ampla defesa e devido processo constitucional para que haja processo, dentre tantas outras teses ousadas e inovadoras.
