Ausführlich beschrieben werden vor allem von Exilierten verfasste Werke in Erstausgaben, Nachauflagen und Übersetzungen sowie von Exilierten herausgegebene, übersetzte, illustrierte und gestaltete Bücher. Einbezogen sind auch Veröffentlichungen jüdischer Verlage und Organisationen in Deutschland, Österreich und der Tschechoslovakei nach 1933 sowie die gesamte Produktion von Exilverlagen. Die Publikationen stammen überwiegend aus Belletristik, Geistwissenschaft, Politik und Publizistik.
