Comparison
Design-Driven Research encompasses many different forms of research in which architectural, design, and artistic practices and the results thereof, are implemented as a means to generate and disseminate new knowledge. This includes contemporary alternative formulations of the field, like Artistic Research, Research by Design, Practice-Based/Led Research, Creative Practice Research. CA2RE+ is a joint Erasmus+ strategic partnership of nine European universities in association with EAAE, ELIA and ARENA, and it supports early-career researchers and Ph.D. students to improve the quality of their research. CA²RE+ explicates the transformative and innovative power of highly individual strategies in artistic research, the diversity of research traditions, and the integrative nature of architectural design research, able to face the contemporary knowledge fragmentation from humanities, social sciences, and technology. Along with the CA2RE+ timeline project, the focus of Milano conference narrows by comparing design strategies and tactics applied to highlight common approaches and methodological specificities within the consortium and the broader community involved.
Graphic Design for Wine

Computational Science and Its Applications - ICCSA 2014
The six-volume set LNCS 8579-8584 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Computational Science and Its Applications, ICCSA 2014, held in Guimarães, Portugal, in June/July 2014. The 347 revised papers presented in 30 workshops and a special track were carefully reviewed and selected from 1167. The 289 papers presented in the workshops cover various areas in computational science ranging from computational science technologies to specific areas of computational science such as computational geometry and security.
100 Posters
The book is a collection of 100 posters designed between 1967 and 2017 by world-renowned Italian graphic designer, Armando Milani. AUTHOR: Armando Milani, who conceived of and designed this book, is President of AGI / Italy (Alliance Graphique International) and President of Milani Design, with offices in Milan and southern France. He organises lectures and seminars on graphic design. In 1992 he produced the book "Double Life", with the sense of humor and creativity of 80 AGI designers and an introduction by Paul Rand, and in 2000, "50 poems of Lawrence Ferlinghetti and 50 images of Armando Milani". In 2003 he designed a poster for the United Nations, "War/Peace", that was displayed all over the word. In 2015 he designed the book "No Words Posters", a collection of the works of 80 international graphic designers.
The ineffable in Charles Correa
Charles Correa – seen by many in India as a sort of guru, as someone capable to transcend and grasp the ineffable reality that surrounds us – has left his noteworthy architectural heritage across the globe. In 2013, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) celebrated him as one of the greatest contemporary urban planners showcasing his work in an exhibition called: “Charles Correa: India’s greatest architect”. Profoundly tied to my Indian origins, to me Correa has been the master over distance, a personal benchmark to set my goals against. He was my inspiring thinker, architect and urbanist, or simply said, the designer I would have liked to be. Many of Correa’s last works show his deep-rooted search of the highest spiritual dimension in the attempt to trap part of the cosmic energy surrounding us into architectural works that were – and are – the shadow of his soul.
