Ritorna l' Ispettore Schurke, investigatore della polizia criminale tedesca, alle prese, nella Francia occupata del 1941, con un misterioso assassinio in un poligono militare francese. Primo sospettato: un ufficiale dell' esercito sconfitto, ma il fiuto di Schurke, il poliziotto che cita i classici latini e filosofici con eleganza e noncuranza, riuscirà a scoprire l' omicida, velato " sotto il segno di Israele"... un romanzo giallo " scorrettissimo".....
