The current societal and social reality in Europe is undergoing far-reaching changes due to the phenomenon of migration. Educational policy and pedagogical practice play a key role in the academic support of immigrant children in schools. In this volume, the connections between societal change and educational issues in relation to two southern European nations, Spain and Italy, are analyzed. Ofrece los principales resultados del proyecto de investigación «Gamificación y aprendizaje ubicuo en Educación Primaria. Elaboración de un mapa de competencias y recursos docentes, discentes y parentales (GAUBI)». Este proyecto ha analizado la interacción entre el aprendizaje ubicuo y la gamificación en primaria, una etapa en la que se asientan procesos de aprendizaje fundamentales, precisa de modelos de enseñanza-aprendizaje que favorezcan una integración didáctica de los dispositivos digitales móviles y permitan mediante propuestas metodológicas como la gamificación, cooperar e integrar la tecnología de forma lúdica en los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje dentro y fuera de las aulas.
