Workplace Conflict
Based on qualitative work in car plants in Argentina, this book offers new insights for an understanding of workers' collective struggles in a radical perspective. Criticizing the use of injustice as the basis of mobilization, it argues that workers' collective resistance should be seen as a function of the development of solidarity.

Microwave Acoustics Handbook
Information essential for the design of acoustic surface wave filters, signal processors, and other miniature, low cost, reliable devices for use in communications and electronic sensing is given in this report. Computations of surface wave velocity and electromechanical power flow angle, and estimates of surface wave coupling to interdigital transducers are given for various orientations of the following surface wave substrate materials: Ba2NaNb5O15, Bi12GeO20, CdS, Diamond, Eu3Fe5O15, Gadolinium Gallium Garnet, GaAs, Germanium, InSb, InAs, PbS, LiNbO3, MgO, Quartz, Rutile, Sapphire, Silicon, Spinel, TeO2, YAG, YGaG, YIG, and ZnO. Particular cuts of interest are then chosen for more detailed numerical calculations of mechanical and electrical parameters governing acoustic wave propagation in crystalline media. Durability of Bridge Structures
On Thursday evening, May 23, 2013, the Interstate 5 Bridge over the Skagit River in Washington state collapsed due to impact by an oversize truck, dumping vehicles and people into the water. Fortunately, the bridge is located in a rural area and nobody was killed in the accident, but three people were rescued after their cars plunged into the frigid water of the Skagit River.
