Sempozyuma; Arkeoloji, Antropoloji, Edebiyat, Eğitim, Felsefe, Filoloji, Hukuk, İktisat, İlahiyat, İletişim, İşletme, Mimarlık, Psikoloji, Sanat, Siyaset Bilimi, Sosyal Hizmet, Sosyoloji, Tarih ve Uluslararası İlişkiler alanlarında hazırlanan bildiriler ile başvuru yapılabilmektedir. Başvurular, Sempozyum Bilim Kurulu tarafından incelenmekte ve en az iki hakemin değerlendirmesine sunulmaktadır. Kabul edilen bildirilerin özetleri ve tam metinleri Oku Okut Yayınları tarafından açık erişim olarak okuyucularla buluşturulmaktadır. Bu kitap, 28 Ağustos 2021 tarihinde gerçekleştirilen Türkiye Sosyal Bilimler Sempozyumu'nda sunulan bildiri özetleri içermektedir.

Türkiye Sosyal Bilimler Sempozyumu, 26-31 Ağustos 2024 tarihlerinde çevrim içi olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sempozyumda; Din, Felsefe, Eğitim, Psikoloji, Sosyoloji ve Tarih alanlarında hazırlanan bildiriler sunulmuştur. Bu kitap sempozyumda sunulan bildirilerin Türkçe ve İngilizce özetlerini içermektedir.

2. Türkiye Sosyal Bilimler Sempozyumu, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt Üniversitesi ile Oku Okut Derneği iş birliğinde 27-31 Ağustos 2022 tarihlerinde çevrim içi olarak gerçekleştirildi. Sempozyuma 264 bildiri başvurusu ulaştı. Ön inceleme sonrası bu çalışmalar, ilgili olduğu bilim alanından 2 hakemin incelemesine sunuldu. İnceleme sonucunda başvurulardan 92’si kabul edildi. Beş gün süren sempozyuma 50 farklı üniversite ve kurumdan katılım sağlandı. Sempozyumun açılış oturumda “Sosyal Bilimlerin Bugünü ve Geleceği” konusuna odaklanıldı. Religion in Modern Islamic Discourse
"The objective of this book is to identify and examine the place of religion as such an abstract category in modern Islamic discussions from the nineteenth century to the present. Mysticism and Philosophy in al-Andalus
Muslim Spain gave rise to two unusual figures in the mystical tradition of Islam: Ibn Masarra (269/883-319/931) and Ibn al-ʿArabī (560/1165-638/1240). Representing, respectively, the beginning and the pinnacle of Islamic mysticism in al-Andalus, Ibn Masarra and Ibn al-ʿArabī embody in their writings a type of mystical discourse which is quite different from the Sufi discourse that evolved in the Islamic east during the 9th-12th centuries. In Mysticism and Philosophy in al-Andalus, Michael Ebstein points to the Ismāʿīlī tradition as one possible source which helped shape the distinct intellectual world from which both Ibn Masarra and Ibn al-ʿArabī derived. By analyzing their writings and the works of various Ismāʿīlī authors, Michael Ebstein unearths the many links that connect the thought of Ibn Masarra and Ibn al-ʿArabī to the Ismāʿīlī tradition.
