This document serves as an advocacy tool to prevent tobacco-related post-surgical complications and to engage health care professionals in the fight against the tobacco epidemic. The Tobacco Knowledge Summary was prepared by the World Health Organization in collaboration with the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) and the University of Newcastle Australia.
