Más allá de la naturaleza
Este libro realizado en conjunto entre los departamentos de Arte y Literatura, reúne artículos y trabajos de artistas que trazan en conjunto un recorrido crítico y estético por nuevos imaginarios y conceptualizaciones del espacio natural. En este recorrido, nociones como “geografía”, “territorio”, “paisaje”, “cartografía” e “itinerario”, entre otras, son vueltas a pensar y a tornar significantes en relación a una diversidad de prácticas culturales. Se estudian nuevos desplazamientos entre los distintos medios de las artes contemporáneas, lo que permite pensar no solo en los sentidos geográficos del espacio, sino también en espacios como el de la lectura, de la novela y del poema, y de sus redefiniciones en términos visuales y sonoros.
Color hollín
No sabemos exactamente a qué tono corresponde el “color de la miseria” como se llama en las primeras páginas de esta novela al color hollín. Solemos asociar el hollín a la suciedad, a la pobreza, a algo gastado, a una tonalidad que se aleja de aquello digno de contemplación, como el paisaje natural de un campo, una playa, o un jardín con flores. Este colorido, el del hollín, será uno que guíe la descripción del entorno de esta novela, en donde abundan los matices que van de los grises al café oscuro. En Color hollín, oímos múltiples voces, sobre todo escuchamos a mujeres: la madre de María, la curandera de la población, las vecinas, y principalmente a María, esta combinación nos entrega una perspectiva social única del Chile de ese momento, contada a través de la mirada subjetiva y poética de la narradora.
Instantáneas en la marcha
Los veinticinco ensayos que componen este libro registran un repertorio cultural vasto y diverso, constitutivo de las movilizaciones que tuvieron lugar en la zona central de Chile durante los últimos meses de 2019 y los primeros de 2020. Cada autora, cada autor, entró con un estilo singular, con libertad y creatividad, y le dio un carácter personal a su observación, se involucró y la hizo inteligible a su manera. Las imágenes fotográficas que acompañan los ensayos son, asimismo, documentos en muchos casos precarios, parte de este gesto instantáneo del registro, que constatan la diversidad de lo emergente, la mirada involucrada.

Señales de vida pretende dar cuenta de una serie de escrituras que encuentran en la vida precaria su política.Terreno definitorio de los procesos de neoliberalización, la vida precaria emerge en la novela de fines del siglo XX y comienzos del XXI como índice de transformaciones en las maneras de sentir y percibir que preceden y hacen posibles las mutaciones económicas y políticas. Recelosas de la perfección formal, las ficciones de vida hicieron de la precariedad de la existencia un campo de experimentación con las temporalidades, los territorios, las subjetividades, los cuerpos, los modos de estar juntos, las nuevas relaciones con el trabajo y la economía. A fuerza de precariedad, sin dejar de mostrar lo que la época tenía de intolerable, César Aira, Rodolfo Fogwill, Matilde Sánchez, Sergio Chejfec, Diamela Eltit, Roberto Bolaño, Fernando Vallejo o Gabriela Cabezón Cámara escribieron historias que sobrevivieron a la catástrofe para emitir, más allá del fin de la historia, las señales de vida de una literatura por venir.
